How do we protect student privacy?
The Zoc app and website protect student privacy. The Family Educational Rights Protection Act (FERPA) is the regulation covering the control of student records. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) confirms and reinforces these regulations for students with disabilities. These records include but are not limited to grades, transcripts, class lists, student course schedules, health records, student financial information, and student discipline files. Zoc.ai does not collect or report this information. We meet the regulations of FERPA and IDEA.
What personal information do we collect from the people who visit our website or app?
We collect information from users of our app and visitors to our website to help you with your Zoc user experience. This may include the following information:
Personal information, including your name, e-mail address, Zoc password, along with information about your usage of the App.
The data that you provide during the usage of the App.
Zoc.ai does not collect, process, or store credit card or debit card information. This is done through the App stores and a third-party processing company.

We use mobile analytics software to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you engage with our products, the events that occur within the products, aggregated usage and performance data, and where the applications were downloaded from. We may link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application.
Do we share your information with your institution?
If you have registered to use the app through a code provided by your institution, the institution will have access to your email address, the date you registered to use the App, and the date on which you last used the app. The institution may also have access to anonymized app usage information on an aggregated basis with all other members of the institution who are using the app. Your specific usage information will not be provided to your institution.
We will not share your individual usage information with anyone, including your educational institution unless you choose to provide your consent under applicable law for such sharing. Your individual information will not be shared with your institution unless you sign a separate release.
Can I delete my account?
You may delete your account from the settings page in the mobile App or by sending an email to support@zoc.ai. This will permanently and irrevocably delete your account and all of the information in your account.
We do not use Google products in our app or website.
Use of the app by minors
This app is applicable for use by minors with parental consent.
California Online Privacy Protection Act
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach extends well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting personal information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.
We meet the requirements of CalOPPA for users in California as identified in this policy.
